About Us
Nalanda, Under SMRJ Tejas was born from a simple belief: the wisdom of Hindu scriptures belongs to everyone, and the younger generation deserves easy, free access to it.
Our mission is to provide the sacred texts of Sanātana Dharma — the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gītā, Vālmīki Rāmāyaṇa, Śiva Purāṇa, Bhāgavata Purāṇa, Brahma Purāṇa, and more — in a clean, modern reading experience that respects the source and the reader. No paywalls, no distractions, no agenda other than sharing these texts as they are.
We believe the youth especially need this. In a world of endless noise, these scriptures offer clarity, grounding, and a direct connection to a living tradition thousands of years old. Nalanda exists to make that connection possible with just a few clicks.

The initiative
This project was undertaken by Arjun Mishra of Grade 9C and Prakarsh Kapoor of Grade 10F, students of Seth M. R. Jaipuria School, Gomti Nagar. The project is a personal effort to put these timeless texts within reach of anyone curious enough to open them.
What's inside
The library currently includes the 108 Upanishads, the complete Bhagavad Gītā, the Vālmīki Rāmāyaṇa with verse-by-verse English translation, the Śiva Purāṇa, the Śrīmad Bhāgavata Purāṇa, the Brahma Purāṇa, and the Garuḍa Purāṇa — with more texts planned over time. Each work is presented with readable typography, chapter navigation, and search so readers can find their way easily.
Why this matters — especially in Kali Yuga
It is essential for Hindus to know their own scriptures, and never more so than in this Kali Yuga — an age described in the very texts we host as one of distraction, forgetfulness, and drift from dharma. When the world grows loud and confused, the śāstras become the anchor: they tell us who we are, where we come from, and what we are meant to do. To read them is not nostalgia; it is remembrance. A tradition survives only in the generation that still opens its books.

Bhagavad Gītā 18.66
सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज।
अहं त्वां सर्वपापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि मा शुचः॥
sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja
ahaṁ tvāṁ sarva-pāpebhyo mokṣayiṣyāmi mā śucaḥ
"Abandon all varieties of dharma and simply surrender unto Me alone. I shall liberate you from all sinful reactions; do not fear."
